Mental Emotional Physical

My name is Jessica and I have a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. I have been working as a mental health therapist for 10 years. In this time, I have assisted people from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, anger management, addictive behaviors/OCD, relationship/family problems, emotional disturbances, grief, abuse, trauma, and chronic illness among many others. I am also certified in hypnotherapy, practice and encourage mindfulness for self-observation, and incorporate the body into treatment as our body holds the patterns of our stress and traumas. I am versatile and able to adapt with ease to meet your counseling needs within the boundaries of our relationship. I am currently only offering Telehealth (online) services. This allows me the flexibility to assist people outside of my immediate area as long as they are within the state of Washington. All interactions are completed through HIPPA compliant software that includes a client portal, which you will receive an invite to should you wish to begin working together.

I believe everything in life is about relationship. With yourself, your body, your spirit, your society, other people, everything. Impacting these relationships, we have childhood conditioning or "programming" which consists of old defense mechanisms, thought patterns, emotional patterns, behavioral response patterns, and nervous system patterns. Through exploring, identifying, and disrupting these different patterns, we can begin to access free will, make new choices, and create better relationships with the internal and external worlds. We can find harmony within the three spheres of our experience: the mental, the emotional and the physical body. It is only when mind emotion and action are in alignment that we are truly integrated.

Learn to rewrite your experience and take control of your life.

I specialize in working with adults, and I utilize a Psychodynamic and trauma-informed framework which is inclusive of many modalities including Mindfulness and somatic (body) approaches, Hypnotherapy (yoga nidra), Emotion-Focused (Attachment) Therapy, and "Parts integration". I work in an engaging, dynamic, and collaborative style in order to meet your goals. My approach to counseling is expansive and seeks to take you beyond the cognitive "stories" and conscious "ego" perceptions about yourself. It encourages you to gain access to the deeper processes, intuition, and gifts of the unconscious. Therapy is viewed as a process of disrupting and minimizing our learned and automatic patterns, which allows one to connect with the authentic, true self. Doing this work will allow you to feel more present, grounded, and connected to yourself and others. Some of the common struggles people seek help for are relationship problems (of any kind), feeling overwhelmed by emotions like fear/anxiety/panic, anger, shame, sadness/depression. Other common struggles are with negative self-talk, negative self-esteem, setting healthy boundaries, communication, getting needs met, poor self-image, self-alientation, and lack of connection that shows up in addictive behaviors around social media, gaming, pornography, eating, gambling etc. Regardless of what you are struggling with, you are taking a positive step towards change by acknowledging that you want to begin healing. The most important aspect of therapy is the relationship, so finding a therapist who you trust is the foundation for the rest of the process. The next step is contacting me to see if we are a good fit to work together. Contact me via email or phone to discuss details.
